What's Going On at USC– December 2011
USC's ANNUAL LANDSCAPE ARCH FIRM FAIR-MEET & GREET: Over winter break we will be working on and sending out the Firm Fair invitations. We are planning to host the 1st annual Landscape Architecture Firm Fair. We will be inviting and hopefully hosting 30+ firms from all over Southern California.
NEW STUDENT BOOKS (sponsored by ASLA):
100 things I learned in Landscape Architecture School: Over winter break we will be starting fabrication of a book we want to publish for new entering students. We would love to get quotes and advice that students from USC have learned and prepared for while in school. Kind of like a little pick me up when things get tough. We were hoping to get a foreword and some interludes or quotes written by people involved in ASLA.
EMERGING STUDENT PROFESSIONALS JOB LINK: We were hoping on setting up a link as part of SCC-ASLA that was a student profile for students from various schools in the SOCAL area. It would consist of a bio that would describe their year, focus, background, specialty, interests, organizations, etc. and a photograph. A quick snapshot CV/Resume. This would be accessible to anyone looking for student work and could help give people looking for certain tasks a more direct route rather than just sending a mass email. EVENTS USC Blue Tape Final Reviews Please join us for the School of Architecture's Two-Day All School Super Review and evening reception. Work from all of our degree programs will be displayed and reviewed at the California Market Center Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
